# Birthday club sign-up

> An email sign-up card that also asks for a birthday month, so you can send a treat in the right month.

## Where to find it

Home page. In the theme editor choose Home page, then select Birthday club sign-up. Can be added to any page.

## How it works

* Sign-ups are saved as customers in Shopify with your Customer tag (default birthday-club).
* The chosen month is added as a second tag, for example birthday-october.
* After a successful sign-up the form is replaced by a thank-you message; errors show next to the email field.

## Edit it

* Change the Customer tag if you already use a different one.
* Untick Ask for the birthday month for a plain email sign-up.
* Use the month tags in Shopify Email or Shopify Flow to send birthday emails.

## Settings

| Setting | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Heading** | Text. Default: Join the birthday club. |
| **Text** | Formatted text (one line). |
| **Ask for the birthday month** | On or off. The month is saved as a customer tag, such as birthday-october, so you can send birthday emails with Shopify Email or Shopify Flow. Default: on. |
| **Customer tag** | Text. Added to every customer who signs up here. Default: birthday-club. |
| **Card color scheme** | Color scheme for this area (edit the schemes in Theme settings → Colors). Colors the sign-up card. The space around it keeps the page background. Default: Scheme 1. |
