# Search results

> The full search page with product cards, articles and pages, filters and sorting.

## Where to find it

The search page. In the theme editor choose Search in the page selector.

## How it works

* Products show as product cards; articles and pages show in a list below.
* Filters and sorting apply to products.
* Products with the seo.hidden metafield set to 1, such as cake builder add-ons, are left out.
* When nothing is found, your text and a cake builder button suggest what to do next.

## Edit it

* Set Results per page (8 to 48).
* Edit Text before a search and Text when nothing is found.
* Set the Cake builder link and its label.
* Untick Show articles and pages to show products only.

## Settings

| Setting | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Color scheme** | Color scheme for this area (edit the schemes in Theme settings → Colors). Default: Scheme 1. |
| **Show breadcrumbs** | On or off. Default: on. |
| **Results per page** | Slider from 8 to 48, in steps of 4. Default: 24. |
| **Minimum card width** | Slider from 200 to 320 px, in steps of 10. Default: 250 px. |
| **Show articles and pages** | On or off. Default: on. |

**Filtering and sorting**

| Setting | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Enable filtering** | On or off. Choose filters in the Search and Discovery app. Filters apply to products. Default: on. |
| **Enable sorting** | On or off. Default: on. |

**Text**

| Setting | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Text before a search** | Text. Default: Search cakes, cupcakes, articles and pages. |
| **Text when nothing is found** | Text. Default: Try “birthday”, “chocolate” or “vegan”, or design the cake you have in mind. |
| **Cake builder link** | Link: a page, product, collection or web address. |
| **Cake builder button label** | Text. Default: Design a cake. |
