# Password page

> The holding page visitors see while your store is password protected, with a message, an email signup and a password entry.

## Where to find it

Shown while password protection is on in Online Store > Preferences. Choose Password in the top page selector, then select Password page.

## How it works

* Shows your store name, the heading and a message. The password message set in Online Store > Preferences takes priority over the section text.
* The email signup adds visitors to your customer list, tagged prospect and password page.
* Have a password? opens the password field for visitors who have it.
* Uses a simple header and footer with your store name.

## Edit it

* Edit Heading, Message and Image.
* Turn Show email signup on or off and add Email signup privacy information.
* Set the store password and its message in Online Store > Preferences.
